Hi and welcome to my website.

My name is Connor Thornton; I wasborn in the late 1990s in Leicestershire , so as you can see I have not been taking pictures for that long.

My main passion is wildlifephotography and this passion hasn’t been found overnight. Since the 1980s my dad has been a keen bird watcher, this has slowly became a love of all wildlife and you could say this has rubbed off on me. The interest in photographyhowever does not come from my Dad, but the group of naturalists whom my dad is friends with. I have recently become a member of the Pork Pie Possy and I have these people to thank for my photographic flair.

As you will see as you look through my site I regard myself only as an amateur photographer as will become apparent as you look at my images. My main interest in wildlife photography is insects but I’ll try my hand at anything.

I am grateful for all your comments and constructive criticism . If any school or organisation would like my images for educational uses please use the contact me link and I would be happy to oblige .All the images on this website are copyright to Connor Thornton “Thornton’sPhotography”.

My Current Equipment :

Canon EOS 450D ( I Recommend this camera as a beginners camera )

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS ( an easy to use general purpose lens. )

Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG IF HSM ( one of the best macro Lenses on the market )

Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX RF DG HSM (A fantastic Ultra Zoom and good for long range shots, but not good in lo light .)
